Dude, it's a personal decision. If he wants 3.73s, then that is fine. Damn, here we go again.

I have up to this point managed to stay away from gear topics, but i will throw this out there. I have no idea why so many people hate 3:73's now. I have been in cars with both sizes and while there is a difference between 4:10's and 3:73's, it's not anything that will make you hate yourself for getting one or the other. I personally love 3:73's, only because its the best of both worlds for me (highway driving and city driving). Also, at 80mph with 4:10's your at 3000RPM compared to 2400 with 3:73's. 600 RPM does make a difference over the long haul in both mpg and interior sound resonance. So if i were you i would try and find a buddy or someone at the track with both sets of gears and make your decision off of them. Hope this helps.

I got 3.73s on my '03 manual GT because I've spent a lot of time on my sound system and didn't want to feel the vibration of higher rpms over an hour-long 70+ mph highway commute, also because I plan to add a twin screw supercharger. I like them a whole lot but as luckymckay21 said, try the 4.10s also to assess your comfort level with those gears combined with your usual driving style. If not for the daily highway ordeal, I'd have gone with 4.10.

at 80 mph with the T-45 you will be at 2900 rpms, with the T-3650 you will need 4.30s to be the same

4:10's for the win if you don't plan on getting a roots type blower, get 3:73's for a roots blower.
