RE: help on 460 stereo
You basically have to ditch the whole 460 system. The radio isn't set-up for after market speakers because of the amps. Put an aftermarket radio in and re run all you speaker wire. That's the best way to do it.
Why would you want to listen to music loud? You can't hear your exhaust! I find myself turning my radio off for almost 50mins on the way to work and on the way home, just to listen to the music.

You will have to replace your system with one from the aftermarket .The speakers and amps don't work with any other parts. You would be well off to replace the whole thing and try to sell the old parts.

did you buy the adapter? I replaced the stereo in my stang. In order to use an after market stereo and the 460 you need to get this. After you get this you can simply run the amps through the new stereo. Let me try and find the part on the crutchfield page for you.
