Default P51 intake

firstly Do the make P51's to fit a 98 Gt ive only seen ads for 99+

Secondly if i do get a P51 or any new intake manifold is it recommendable to get a plenum right now or should i jsut go with a throttle body? I plan on gettin the futre mods listed in my sig this summer but the p51 wont come for a year or two soo what about the plenum?

thanks

I was under the impression that the P-51 replaced the plenum as well as the manifold. maybe wrong tho... I don't have the bones to even consider the swap, so I don't look at it too much.

the typhoon intake is made by professional products and it's basically a metal version of the plastic manifold you have now. a P-51 intake manifold replaces a plenum and therefore you shouldnt get a new plenum if your goin to get the P-51. The P-51 is good but expensive as hell, far north of 1,000. The typhoon is around 500. The reason for getting either is mostly to have the ability to port the intake manifold, because the stock one is plastic and therefore cant really be ported.

it might not even be released yet...if it has been released it just recently was so not many might know the gains from it being ported let alone just getting it

You guys are wasting your money thinking about intake manifolds on stock engine/no blower cars.

Get a blower or build the engine before you worry about your intake. The PI intake is far from the most power restricting thing on a 99-04 mustang.

yeah, i know, but i just don't like the whole plastic manifold... looks cheap as all hell... plus an aluminum manifold would look sweet under my accufab plenum...

Well I wanna strap a blower on my car and keep my nitrous... but i know stock that will mean boom... so before i do that im gonna redo the engine: forged rotating assemly, P&P heads, cams and the PI intake then some more other mods to the car itself i.e. tranny and suspension before puttin on the blower.

I was jsut curious if it would be a waste of money gettin the plenum now
