i got my 02 GT a bit ago and didnt really kno what was done to the motor apart from a KB setup..

heres what i kno so far..

it has the 1.7 Kenne Bell runing on 9psi with the cooling water tank think lol..yea the "water tank thing"
60lb injectors
CAI
No cats
msd wiring
stock 3.55 gears
Stock differential
untuned on a crappy *** auto trans that isnt even from the car..i think it was taken outta a 6cyl and thown onto the car to sell it

im taking out the Trans for a Manual trans and taking out the crappy stock differential and a tune..

thats what i kno so far... as far as i kno its on a stock motor...should i get aftermarket heads and cams? i was told its not necessary unless i want insane power..

Well if you want insane power get em. Its not needed but if you wanna keep as a daily driver and care about gas mileage, I would keep it the way it is. Of course, you have 60# injectors so I am guessing its not a problem. Also, find out if you have a high flow fuel pump, i assume it would but I would check to be sure. Also, a oil seperater would be good if you dont have one.

oh well then i learned something new..now to find out if the guy got confused or their not stock gears...lol

im kinda confused about the gears. He did say its not the original trans and the gears are 3.55. Would the original trans for a V8 be 3.27's?
