so one of the conditions my dad has on me getting the stang is that even thugh i'm paying for it, he wants me to write up a list of everything i plan on adding to it in the next year. I've already decided on TB/PL, pullies, stage II cams from VT, forged internals, 410 gers in the rear, and somehow a fully adjustable from inside the car suspension setup thanks to the morons on the board in my neighborhood that had ungodly speedbumps put in

what i'm looking at now is the exhaust... and here's where y'alls help comes in. I want the loundest damn exhaust system humanly possible with a few catches... it has to pass emissions, has to be a deep tone, and can't sound like crap.

anyone have any advice?

For loud and deep you can go with an h-pipe w/cats and SLP LoudMouth II's. With hi-flow cats you will pass a smog test, and you will have a louder exhaust then with the stock h-pipe. And LM I's are just loud not deep.

Mac or BBK Long Tube headers with a Borla Prochamber setup.... end of discussion... also if your going to get forged internals might as well go with stage 3 cams

LT's will make it deeper, but from what i've heard, won't make it 'that' much louder (especially for the 300 price + 400 install)

for your midpipe, obviously you have to go catted for emissions

H is gonna be deeper at idle, but not quite as loud at WOT (still loud either way though compared to a stock H pipe on yoru car now)

for the catback, its all preference..

if youre ONLY interested in volume..
LM I's are gonna be a bit louder than the others mentioned,

you've really got 3 other choices if youre interested in LOUD and DEEP

1. MagnaflowMagnapacks
2. SLP LM II's
3. Borla Stingers.....i have these, believe me, if youre looking for loud, you can't go wrong here, and as far as a deep bassy tone, i get PLENTY of vibrations inside the car upon start up and cruising around 1K-1500 RPM

you'll be 100% happy with the 3 ive listed if a deep tone is important..
if youre willing to sacrifice a bit of tone for some volume, then hands down LM I

could not have said it better myself, I have the borla stingers on my car and they are exactly like he describes them, tons of base down low, and they scare small children and women when you get on the throttle. Any of the three would be great though.

DONT GET LOUDMOUTHS!!!!! SOUND LIKE CRAP!!!!!!! Get anythig but them if you want deep. They are not deep, sound like a glasspacks wit straightpipes.

I have the bassani cat back with X pipe..damn, its loud, deep, and sounds great. I have not heard the others to compare but I really like the unit I have on my cobra.

anything with stright-through mufflers and an x-pipe will be loud as f*ck.
