O/D Off light blinks....?

I was driving home today with overdrive off and suddenly I noticed the light below the gauges that tells u its off was flashing.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. The dealer said that they screwed up when they were doin some tranny work for me.

interesting. also let me bring this up , does it suck up gas to downsift for slowing down? i mean you dont have the throttle open but still the RPMs are high. My brakes suck so i DS a lot with my AUTO [>:]
