Dyno Results coming tomorrow
Ok guys, full bolt ons dyno coming tomorrow. It is on a Mustang dyno so I am sure the numbers are going to be a little lower than I had hoped. I am going with my buddy who has a 99 Z28 (LS1), so this will help see how I compare to his car. I am guessing aroung 260-265 RWHP w/ a good tune. I think the Z28 is gonna be around 290-300 RWHP. He has a couple mods but nothing big. Thise 350's take to intake and exhaust mods much better than our modulars do. I will post the results tomorrow when I get home.

RE: Dyno Results coming tomorrow
Okay, dyno results:
My Mods:
BBK LT Headers
BBK o/r h-pipe
Flowmaster catback
JLT RAI
Accufab 75mm TB
C&L intake plenum
Motoblue underdrive pullies
Diablosport tune (modified by myself)
Granatelli upper and lower CA's
Steeda Tri-Ax
Mustang Dyno Results
258 HP
286 TQ
If you ask me those ar pretty good numbers. Especially on a MD Mustang Dyno, since unlike the Dynotjet, the Mustang Dyno takes into account vehicle weight, air resistance, and other actual road conditions. I have seen most people dissappointed w/ the numbers from a Mustang Dyno, but i am pretty darn happy.
My buddy w/ Z28 had the following mods
K&N cold air intake
Bigger TB (don't know what size)
Exhaust cut out (bypasses mufflers)
Catback exhaust
CUstom Tune (which had the best A/F I have ever seen)
Mustang Dyno results for Z28
303 HP
333 TQ
My girlfriend has the digital camera right now but I will post pics of the dyno results either tonight or tomorrow since I know 2000GT4.6 isn't gonna believe me. jk

RE: Dyno Results coming tomorrow
Finally I think everyone can stop asking what a GT w/ full bolt on's will dyno. Yes, I know the numbers will be different for each car, but at least we all have a good idea now, at least I hope.

RE: Dyno Results coming tomorrow
I was hoping someone would ask. Now before anyone call BS on me, I am gonna say that it is always a drivers race. Today, on our way to get the dyno we had to race (obviously). My stupid *** forgot to turn the TC off, but when I actually grabbed in 2nd I was keeping up with him. In order to really tell we need to run them at the track. I can tell you that the 3.73's helped a bunch. I think I would have had him but that damn traction control screwed me. I will let you guys know how it goes next time we race and I remember to turn the damn thing off. There is a nice long road outside the power plant where I work that we always used to race down, so we should have plenty of opputunities in the future now that he is coming back on first shift.

RE: Dyno Results coming tomorrow
everyone is just putting down insane numbers lately. I dunno if there has been just that much of an improvement in tuning in the last year or two, or if they are starting to setup the dynos different.
I know that 1-2 years ago the average full boltons GT was putting down somewhere aroudn 260-265 on a dynojet with a good tune.
Hell, on a dynojet I only put down 280 WHP (****ty tune) with full boltons and camshafts, and I was making like 256 before that (stock tune). i would think that would be around 240 on a mustang dyno. (the 256)
I think it is safe to say that my car is not a factory dog with the numbers I am putting down now. There just seems to have been a breakthru in tuning for the 2v cars lately.
I will be very interested to see what you run in the 1/4. That is the only really consistant dyno.
