Default electric h2o pump

I know that it’s not a good idea on a daily driver and they don’t last but about a year and a half. I was thinking that if you put a flow sincere in line that would flash if it stopped flowing?

what you want is a "amp switch" (I know there is a more technical term for it and I should know the word being an electrician). It looks like a donut with 2 wires sticking out. You route the POWER wire from the pump (or whatever electrical item you want) thru the hole in the switch.

The switch will make or break (your choice when you buy) whenever you have power running thru the wire (pump is ok and running). Then, you wire up a light under your dash or in a register vent that will light up whenever the engine is running and the pump is not (it went bad).

BTW, I would call the pump company and ask them how long they last. I dunno why it would only last about a year.

EDIT: Their webpage says it lasts 3000 hours on a typical modular application. For reference, 10,000 miles at 60 MPH is 166.67 hours. I would think this would last quite a long time. To use it 3000 miles in a year you would have to be in your mustang for 8 hours a day, EVERY day.
