My friend always talks about how the STI can beat a V-8 mustang and it has a smaller engine. So I was just wondering what else I would need to beat an STI. Would a new TB/plenium and stage 2 cams do it or would I need longtubes too? Thanks

that should almost be good.... id open up the exhuast alot too with a o/r X and catback but those 4.30's would do the biggest gain...

just put it this way. with my mods i raced a WRX with a fmic, full exhaust, and 15psi (so the guy claimed) and from a 40 roll hed get a jump on me because he would take off w/o doing a 3 honk and everytime id reel him in a put a carlength on him. if you race one make sure its from a roll. you wont be able to take him from a dig

sure they have a smaller engine, but they are friggin TURBO. i love when people say that their puny little 4 banger can beat my big bad v8, when their puny lil 4 banger is pushing 15 psi, with a grocery list of mods. wrxs are meant for ralley courses and tracks, they will utterly destroy you on either of the two, but for straight line races you got a good shot. the new ones are pretty quick though, the older wrxs you would definetly take with full bolt ons.
