Hey guys, I recently bought a 96GT with an auto, yes I know not the greatest combo to go with but I got a great deal for it. I've been reading through some of the threads and had a couple questions before I started modding the hell outta my car.

1) The car has Flowmasters and a rebuilt tranny already. What would be the first mod that would compliment that the best? I was planning on going with BBK LTs with a catless X-pipe (Don't know what brand to go with yet). but a friend suggested gears (4.10s) would just simply wake the car up and would be the best noticable difference from the get go.

2) I've been reading a lot of negative things about the 2v's esp. with mine being an auto, if I were to run it with just the catback and DRs (For base numbers), what should I expect to run?

3) What are companies/brands I should stay away from when looking for quality parts?

I appreciate all your help and suggestions guys!
