Default RE: Hearing something?

how old is the car?
Are you the origional owner?
How long ago did you notice this sound?

Depending on your answers it could be the rear end is wearing out
The car has a different gear than stock (aftermarket gears exhibit a whine sometimes)
or Some rear ends require you service the differential every year or two if it's aftermarket...

Is it a vert??? Are your windows 100% sealed. Also in my old t-bird i would hear a whine when i revved and it was coming out of the speakers. There was a sligth interference coming from the alternator that found its way to the stereo system
