Default Throwout Bearing question

I had my tranny and clutch replaced back in December, and since then I've put maybe 3000 miles on my car. Somehow, my throwout bearing is sheared in half and makes all sorts of grinding and squeaking noises. I am thinking about pulling the tranny and just replacing the TOB, because the clutch has so low of miles on it, and it works great. What do you guys think?

Who put the trans in? Id take it back to them.. If you did it, then yeah drop the trans and get a new one in there.

I did take it to the shop, and they said its a manuf defect so they wouldnt do #@$% about it. I tried dealing with Ford since it's a king cobra, but they don't warranty clutch components, so I'm pretty much SOL. I know that if i do drop the tranny that it would be best to go ahead and install another clutch, but since its not that old and still works great, I don't think its financially feasible to buy a new clutch kit.

Jack it by the center of the differential, set it up on jack stands. THen jack it in the center of the front where the crossmember goes. Set it up on jack stands. 1 More thing get it as high off of the ground as possible (with it still being safe). I use truck jack stands as they have a MUCH larger base and load capacity (4000lbs each). Set the jack stands in the rear on the differential, and the front somewhere on the crossmemeber.

New TO bearing doesn't mean problem free. Had the same thing happen to me. Earlier this year. Had my clutch replaced on October, had it back to the shop by Feb/March I think with a TO that was sounding like it was going to shread.

and P Zero..you NEVER jack a car up by the differential. By the axle okay but never by the Diff. That's a nice way to crack it.

and one more thing. I don't have any access to a transmission jack. Once I get to that point (should be an hour or 2 from now), should I just get a couple of buddies to help me muscle the thing down, or is there a way to use a standard floor jack to halfway secure it?

if you just use a floor jack to support most of the weight and a buddy to keep it steady you should be ok. just be carful opening the valve if you're using a hydrolic jack.
