Default piggyback pullys?

i know everyone says there horrible, but how bad are they, i mean you can get them for 1/4 the price, is there any actual safety issues.
since they bolt onto the old pulleys they dont look as good but to they have a habit of launching off or anything

I have the March piggybacks, they are great. No problems what so ever. People dont know what they are talking about. They do the exact same as any other pulley. A pulley is a pulley is a pulley. Just watch out for the aluminum, they get cut into by the belts and need to be replaced often(comparativley).

Supposedly, it throws off the timing because of the weight or something along those lines, all I know is that i've heard more then a few people tell me (including the shop I go to) that the piggyback pulleys can do some severe engine damage.

I believe the majority of people who say they are horrible say so because they didn't notice a difference with them installed. I don't know about engine damage though. Damage and charging issues are big myths (except for those who have big amps and no capacitors).

well as far as i could tell the piggybacks are the same size, the only way i could see damage happening is if they didnt center the pully, from what i can tell they just dont look as good, should perform near the same

someone said this before "in cars you get what you pay for" i know you are looking for a good deal, but cheap can get expensive if you know what i mean, so just get the steeda, i never had any problem with them after year an a half, imo

I had some on my 04 GT, it always seemed to be wobbling when i would be looking at it. I finally just bought the steedas cause i didnt want to mess up my crank in the long run.
