To buy 5.0 or 4.6?
Well i have my mind set on getting a 2003-2004 Cobra once the new Shelby Mustang comes out because the prices will be lower due to people wanting the newest/fastest mustang. Well a little while ago today i got a ride in a 1990 Fox coupe with GT-40 heads, E-cam, Vortec s -trim/intercooled w/10 lbs of boost (pegging the meter) and all the normal bolt ons that are associated with it. Maybe its because i havent been in a really fast car lately due to my daily driver ( beater) probably a 16 second car compared to these cars with superchargers that are vastly better. But for a minuted it changed my mind on spending the $25k on a modded 03-04 cobra and just spend around 10k for a decent fox body with a blower on it. Tell me what you guys think. Im still leaning towards the 03 cobra but it would only be used for street and drag so i would edventually want a solid axle instead of the IRS. But each car would get driven less then 5000 miles a year and well im just confused now, let me know what u guys think!!!!

If you have the cash to buy a fox, and then put all of the associated goodies on it, I would say go for it.
If you don't have alot of cash on hand but can make a steeper monthly payment, get the cobra.
The only other question is, is this a DD or a playtoy? If its a DD I would lean toward the cobra. The cobra will make 400+ alot easier and more streetable than a fox, plus it is newer and will have less regular manintence problems.

car would NOT be a daily driver at all. I listed above that it would see less then 5000 miles a year, which in my mind could not be a daily driver but anyways thanks for the input. im not really mechanically inclined and i am just afraid with buying the fox mustang i would have more problems with maintanance and bringing it into the shop for problems more often. I have the $$$ in hand right now. just undecided because it is such a large amount of $$ for myself. Im just throwing ideas up because im bored with my 2000 GT right now. keep em coming guys

I would go with the cobra, and few mods do wonders on those. That or take your 00 and finish up the bolt ons and add a 1.7L KB, or nitrous.
I have thought about the 03/04 going down also when the 07 comes out, but have I have also thought that it wont because everyone is possibly thinking the same thing. I dont know I guess we will see how that goes

IMO they are going down you can get a decent one for mid 20k

get the fox. not only is the 5.0 alot friendlier, parts are cheaper for it if it ever does break, and if you plan to take it to the track and launch it A LOT the fox body doesn't have IRS, which will wear down after excessive hard launching. If you're not concerned about the track and just want it for a toy and for looks, then it all comes down to whichever one you like better, because both of those cars have awesome potential. i am just partial to the fox.

The fox is alot cheaper n/a, but we all know how these mods like their boost. If you're considering a cobra, I assume you want enough power to warrant a forged bottom so I say fox with twin turbo[sm=lildevil.gif]
