Default home repairs

How much of an hassle is an pad install and rotor cut. I need to do it have never done it before which is peculiar cause i do my own work. I dont have a shop i can get one prob, but you have to repack bearings? cut rotor and new pads is what i hear? Is this true and is it just worth it to spend 100 or so to get em done by a dealer?

It should be a fairly easy job. I have not done it on my stang yet, but they are suppsed to have sealed bearings so there is no repack (not that its a hard job, just dirty anyway).

Get new rotors if ya can, they make good /inexpensive aftermarket ones that will improve stopping distance.

Really easy install with the right tools and a way to compress the pistons if need be. (c-clamp would work also)... Take the rotors to any pep boys, auto zone, ect ect. and they can surface the rotors for you.

well if he'll do them for some old beat up rims that are taking up space, i'd do that. but if not, just get yourself a haynes manual or chiltons, and that will tell ya how. it's a really simple job to do, just be glad we dont have drum brakes.
