what he said was... "My guess is your imagining it." not, "you're a fu(king dumba$$ and need to learn what octane is really for." which is what he could have said. Am I his daddy... [sm=lame.gif] grow the fu(k up.

you guys have problems with your cars. it's not the gas. you should be fine with 87. you should never have had 93 in the first place.

you should get a manual for your car or go to ford.com and download one and read it.

All I meant was let the man speak for his self without you speaking for him. I'm trying to grow up but maybe I need you to give me some lessons. Seriously djdalfaro all I wanted was advice and you decided to take it upon yourself to make a smart a$$ post. Obviously this is a problem others have also after changing octane. I was not trying to be a dick.

well then your answer is as redas$ stated... you don't need 93... fix your car and then run 87

04DSGB, moose is right. If you are hearing what you think your hearing, then there is something else going on and running a higher octane is not the answer.

Go do some research, the only benefit to running higher octane is to reduce the possibility of detonation. Unless you are nearing the threshhold of it, you don't need high octane.

Thanks man.... I just called Ford and they said 93 octane won't hurt anything but my wallet. The tech also said that if I have been using the higher octane for a while then I should stick with it because it can cause the problems I have mentioned switching back to 87 octane.
