Spray paint wheels??

Default Spray paint wheels??

I have 16in stock gt wheels, they are not in very good condition,some stains and i think the clear coat is comming off.Is this a good idea to paint them back to silver or would that even work??

It would look terrible then probably chip/peel after some time.

painting them will work, but they will be harder to wash, i painted my old ones white to match the car, and they looked real good till they got dirty, and the only way i found to clean them was with water and wipe with my hand, because a washcloth would just smear the dirt. Not sure how long the paint will last before it peels, i sold mine after about a year, but only had them on maybe 4 months, the rest of the time they sat in storage.

you can get a hardening appliance epoxy. it will harden and it is very easy to clean then. i was thinking about painting mine black, but havent got around to it.
