Which would you recommend first?!?!
I'm trying to gather some opinions on what should be my first modification.....stock '02 Mineral Grey GT 5-spd, 70k miles.
I am mainly torn between:
~1.5" Drop (shocks and springs, maybe some Bullitt swaybars "cheap"), I've got this lined up for about $500
~Magnaflow Catback
~Something else, maybe Gears (speed cal instead of tuner because I don't want to run premium gas right now and I'm cheap)
I am only going to have around $500-$600.

thats what i figured also.
I'm still leaning towards the drop because:
-the car looks like a 4x4
-w/ 70k miles, the shocks are shot
-needs control arm bushing anyway, they are shot
-handling is always a priority for me
Can anyone convince me otherwise!????

Well, if you wanna look like your fast drop it. If you wanna be fast, add gears. Unless you plan on racing around a circuit track, I wouldnt touch the suspension for a while. Also, if you do go with gears, go with the 3:73 if you are gonna want big HP in the future, and 4:10 if you are just gonna do full bolt-ons or close to it. You will lose 1st gear if you go with 4:10 and high HP.

If you really like your cornering Id say do this, get new shocks/struts springs, sub frame connectors, front strut tower brace, G-load brace, rear shock/strut tower brace. Thatll brace up the car REALLY nicely for cornering, then all youd need is some good rims and tires. As for the gear, Id wait until I did some engine mods before I get in to what gear I need/want. Just my .02.

i did a catback first. no real power increase but the sound is awsome. even when i get beat by evos and stis they tell me they wish there car sounded like mine. lol.
