Hey guys, i was driving home today and i saw this 20 year old blonde chick in a black mustang with a body kit and some chrome fr500s. The car sounded like it had no mufflers, and i had a question. I was actually gonna order my stingers and mrt catted h pipe today, but i was wondering if anybody has an o/r x or h pipe with no mufflers? Has anyone heard it? There are 3 kids in my school that have an Evo, an STI, and an A4 1.8T thats running 20 psi, and none of them have mufflers/cats. Their cars are actually lowder than my gt right now and im stock, and i really wanted to know what it would sound like on a mustang. Any help would be great.

the little 4 bangers in my school sound amazing with them, but i'de personally take tone over wierd Slp LM1-type noises.. no offense to all of u SLP people

It is going to be loud as ****. Would not be too good for the car however. No backpressure= no low end torque. They do it that way because turbos HATE backpressure from cats or mufflers.

I had a stang that I ran an o/r H pipe straight to glass packs and nothing else......Um can you say LOUD! Heres the real question, would you like to have a conversation in your car? If you do then dont run straight pipes. Get yourself an off road h or x pipe, 40 series flowmasters, and I guarantee itll be just as loud as your buddies ricer/kraut cars. You need to get rid of that cat pipe, it quiets exhaust down A LOT.

alright thanks for the help. I would have rather gone o/r x or h, but they both make Stingers go insanely crazy/poppy. I like the deepness that Borla has, but im still kinda debating.. the Stingers sound kinda wierd on vid.. and i havent seen them in real life. Im also considering the Bassani SS right now. I hate choosing between so many good exhausts.

I started mine up last night with just the straight manifolds(sounded like crap), then with my pro-chamber (sounded even worse), then with my flows on (sounds great). my neighbors came over and asked me what the hell was goin on after i did the first 2, lol.
