Default 96-98 GT vs SVT Cobra

Considering getting a GT instead of a Cobra as they are a little high for my price range ($10,000 max). Other than 90 HP what are the major differences between the two?

What year cobra, The 96-98 GT's dont have the PI heads or Intake 99-04 do so i would sugest getting a 99-04 GT if possible, 99 and 01 cobras have diff suspension and an IRS, The main diff is the DOHC motor in the cobra, 03-04 cobras have a t-56 6 speed and an eaton supercharger, 94-98 cobras have a solid axle and diff suspension, also cobras have bigger brakes. But the main diff is the DOHC motor.

its got 2 intake ports and 2 exhaust ports per cylinder instead of one each in a SOHC motor, it has 2 cams in each head instead of 1. It flows a lot more air and makes more power. 96-98 cobras have a solid rear axle, the diff in 96-98 cobras and 96-98 GT's would be the motor, brakes and suspension. plus 96-98 GT's are DOGS from the factory there one of the slowest GT's ever made with a V8, if you get a 96-98 gt i would recomend doing the PI head and intake swap. i would get a 96-98 cobra over a 96-98 gt any day of the week. If you have to get a GT go 99-04.

if you want big power down the road, then look into th e96-98 CObra

but if you just want something quick and fun to play with, either one will do

(this isnt saying GT's are slouches)

stock the GT is even with the Cobra

(i just saw a 60K mile 97? Cobra for about 8500)
