ORIGINAL: djdalfarowell if you're getting pulleys, from what I've heard you want steeda's pulleys, not anything less than ~180.00, because anything less is "piggyback", and you stand the risk of messing stuff up.
Please explain "piggyback" and can someone give me the phone # for RPMoutlet? I have poor resolution and cannot fully read their number!!? Thanks, Mark

Sweet.. Rpmoutlets number is 281-261-6244... Again though as far as your tuner goes, the one that's better would be the one your garage uses. From the people I talk to that have used both, say it's good either way. I have only experianced the xcal2, which I love. Although, the tuner by itself was $400, and I got a pretty good tune from brenspeed.com - it was tuned for a 04' GT with a K&N FIPK Gen II intake. Although, I would contact some local mustang speed shops to find out what they use, this way if you ever need a dyno tune, or it to be tuned for any reason you are compatible with them. Both tuners pretty much have the same compatibility. I would say go Xcal2, but like I said im a lil bias and have never experianced the Predetor.

Guys I just came off a high HP run that cost a lot of cash and time. My Talon was making 400AWHP, maybe more doing high 11's at 120mph. Too expensive, painful as I am disabled and dangerous. I want a nice highway cruiser that will have more power than stock and like I said do a 13.5 1/4 mile.
I was at a show where a guy had a beautiful black 2000 with a lot of Saleen parts including the supercharger and he would NOT put headers on because of the 8 hour install and then the possibility of blown gaskets and another 8 hour job. I have a friend with a heavy 1965 Chrysler 300L. It has a 413c.i. motor, rebuilt, no headers and it does 13.7's. With 3 guys in it we pulled on a '71 Javelin with a 401 built with headers and just the driver at 125mph. 1400lb weight difference and the chrysler won. The motor made the difference, better build and proper parts selection.
That brings me to the RPMoutlet offer of gears and a tuner for $449. even has the gear install kit. But what tuner, the SCT cal2 or Predator?
I can't see $500. headers with a $400.+ install fee and then possible gaskets blowing. I am looking for a more casual modded ride. No nitrous either! I need to contact RPM. Thanks for the input guys, it's all appreciated. mark
An experienced mechanic can get them done in 4-6 hours, Percy gaskets for $45=no blown seals.
I wouldn't listen to a Saleen owner, they are usually just a guy with some extra money who bought a pretty car, the stock manifold is very restictive and with a S/C you would notice a huge gain, I did and I have shortys. For an N/A car the gears would be better.

I got ahold of RPM, thanks. They recommend the cal2 as he said he thought it was more user friendly (read "good for dummies" in my case!) so that is settled. Need to study exhausts. The guy at the show did not have a saleen but saleen parts. Time will tell. I hear the tunes can offer a decent gain especially helpful for automatics. Thanks again guys, mark

I have the Accufab with 75mm TB. The only reason I spent the extra was because of some advice from a local shop. He does not sell Accufab and he steered me to them. He said they have the only TB that he has not seen wear out over time. How much time I don't know. But I figured why not just do it and be done. I paired it with a C&L inlet pipe and noticed a differance. Just my $.02.
