Default Trac lok question

I have a 2002 GT, looking to get trac-lok for the rear, I have stock axles so does that mean I would need a 28 spline unit or a 31, I think it would be 28. Any help??

Rebuild it using the extra clutch plate on each side with the F150 spring.

They are 28... You can look into eaton and upgrade the axles to 31 or more... That way you can launch pretty hard and not worry as much about the rear end.

upgrades go with 31 spline axles and a detroit true trac, they dont have clutches that will wear out like a t-lok

Believe it or not, a regular 28-spline Rear-Diff can take a hella beating, if you use a Diff. girdle...

Upgrading to 31-spline is a great idea though, since it can handle well over 800hp... Most people never really see the single launch limit of a 31-spline...

Eaton, Auburn, FMS, etc are all great companies. I think even Qaiffe even makes a center section for the 8.8"

What can a OEM 31 spline Trac-lok out of the 2003-2004 cobras take as far as max hp or torque?

A lot..

I don't know, don't have a Cobra... I'm sure someone's tested them... The thing is, most of those guys swap out the IRS w/ a solid rear, and don't know if they go w/ the 8.8, or move up the 9"..
