Default what size tires to get, 97 GT

I'm gonna be getting some wheels off a 94 cobra this weekend, they are 17s stock and I will be buying tires for them.

Lookin at the khumos

Stock size I have right now is 245/45/17.. I want to go a little wider all around, what should I go with? I heard that I should do 255/40/17 to retain pretty close tire thickness (diameter) while going a bit wider

any input? Or should I just keep the stock sizes?

Are you going to want to rotate your tires?

If not, get 245/45's up front, no need to get fat up there. Then get some 265s or 275s out back....basically, as big as you can afford.

I have 4 BGF Comp TA 245/45 ZR17's in my basement if you are interested.
