Default Quick, stupid question

Is a MIL Eliminator and an O2 Extention the same thing? They're both designed to be used when you've removed cats, right?

I know by the time this post gets posted there will prolly already be 1 or 2 replys,,,, no they are not the same 02 extentsions acutally just extend your o2 sensors to reach their mounting holes these are typically used for the front sensors 02 mil eliminators are used to fool the rear sesnors in to thinking everything is running fine.

No, they are not the same thing. Mil Eliminators are used to trick the computer of the car into thinking that the cars are still on the car. O2 extension are used in conjunction with long tube headers to reach the newly postioned oxygen sensor. hope it helps.

edit: beat me by 13 seconds

Yeah, it does, thanks. I'm thinking of buying an off road X pipe, the guy told me the other day I would need O2 extenders so that the computer wouldn't throw a check engine light because of the lack of cats. I've ordered mil eliminators that should be here any day, I won't need both will I?

No you only need the extensions if you have or are having long tubes installed on the car.
