hey ya beat me to it

I'm burning oil like it was candy...

I'm planning on rebuilding or replacing my engine next year or so

for now, honestly it's just cheap to buy a quart of oil from time to time... wait to spend the $$$ on a fresh engine when it's feasible (time and $, skill is there)

I thnk the compression or somthing is way differnt so you cant just put PI heads on yr car, its much more then that
Other than the heads/intake/camshafts and gaskets you don't need anything else for hte PI swap.

several companys even make kits with all of the gaskets etc to swap over to PI heads.

Well in my personal experience I got burned bad on ebay. Some guy sold me a set of pi heads never said there was anything wrong with them when really he had starved the engine of oil and spun the cam journals. Which I didnt notice until I went to actually use them a year after I bought them. So basically that set me back like $500 and instead I just went to a local machine shop and have them find a pair and do the once over on them I think it was like $540 total. For all that money I could have bought a decient pair of already ported heads. Oh well.
