Default Magical Oil

Somehow, my oil dissappears. I had done an oil change 4 weeks ago, and last week, i checked my oil, and it said empty. There hasnt been any white smoke and nothing smells like burning oil..ANNDDD there hasnt been any puddles under my car. So i put a quart and a half of oil in my car 4 days ago, the next day i checked it, and the dipstick was half full. i thought it might be head gasket, but then it would burn oil and i could smell it right, and then if i didnt put the cap on tight, it would also smell or i would have oil under my car...anyone have this happen???

I don't have a clue. This may be one for the dealership (I hate saying that). Sorry man, good luck.

You loose a little oil through the breather on the drivers side to the intake and through the PCV valve on the passanger side to the intake. but not that much.

if you're losing oil that quick you either have a major leak and you dont know, your engine is just letting it build up somewhere, or burning it heavily. 1/2 quart in 4 days is a lot of oil to be losing.

My mother-in-law had a Mitsubishi that did the same thing. To this day we don't know what the car did with all that oil. It was so bad she actually kept a case in the car. Besides that fact, the car ran absolutely perfect. The Stealership did not even have a clue. She finally just sold it, as it cost more in oil than gasoline, and this was when gas was about $1.00 a gallon. Maybe you will find a mechanic sho knows his stuff and can figure it out? If not all you can do is make sure you keep it topped off, or sell it?
