What the hell is this noise

What the hell is this noise
Alright, the car was brand new when we picked it up, and it has about 21,500 on the clock right now. I dont remember when this started exactly (it's been a while), but there is this little tinkering/bell-like noise that i can hear when i drive. I hear it mostly when i drive downhill because im not usually on the gas, and i heard somebody else a while ago on the forums had the same noise. I'm 99% sure its coming from the rear. Does anybody know what it is?

just an idea... prolly nothing related to yours but when im driving and i hear some noise i look back trying to figure out what it is and its my rear seat belts hitting the arm rest... most annoying thing ever because it sounds like something is breaking

this is why we dont drive with our foot on the clutch

While what you said is true in some instances... it's not quite the culprit in our cars in nearly all of the cases.

RE: What the hell is this noise
I had a feeling a while ago that something was up with my tranny maybe, and about 20 mins ago when i went to Blockbuster, sure as hell, there it is again. I live on a hill, and i really only notice it when im going down hills at low RPM's, so the exhaust doesnt drown it out. Shifting into second, third, and recently, fourth, has been feeling like its gonna start grinding soon, so about 1500 miles ago when i had it serviced under warranty at Ford, i had them check it out. I wrote specifically on the card to check synchros, TOB, clutch and flywheel, and i guess im stupid for actually thinking that they wouldn't say " Nah, its all good." I'll take it in next week to be looked at again i guess. Thanks for the help.
