buying 4.10 gear question

Default buying 4.10 gear question

i am buying 4.10 gears this week and i have a question. when buying from mustangtuning.com, do i only need to buy the frpp 4.10 gear kit and thats it, or do i need to buy the bearing kit also??thanks for all the inputs

i would get the bearings and the racers, might as well buy a new seal also

while your getting your gears you might as well get the bearings done. it doesn't have to be done, but most people do. i think you can get a discount from those guys if you enter "mustangboards" good luck.

If you have 60k on your car, you will need the bearing kit. I had mine put in at 14k and I didn`t need anything other than the ring, pinion, shims, and fluid. You will get shims with the gear kit. I bought the installation kit just in case anything else was needed, and it wasn`t.
