Oil Slinger
Hey Guys,
I'm normally over in the "Classic Mustang" forum, but had a question that nobody seemed to know so thought I'd step next door and try here...
I'm rebuilding my 289 engine and have replaced the stock cam with an Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and the stock timing chain/gears with an Edelbrock Performer Link set. The directions for the Performer Link set says NOT to reinstall the original oil slinger when putting it all back together. Does anyone know why?
