No smoke for Daddy...

RE: No smoke for Daddy...
I use it in my car and i just pull the pcv out and put a funnel in the hose that the pcv was in and pour a little in at a time so the car will keep running. if you hear it start to stall just hold off on the pouring. once you get the desired amount in turn the car off and let it sit for 5 to 10 min. then start and drive. I had tons of smoke come out of my car. as for putting it in the oil you have to change the oil right away or the debri that loosens up can clog up your oil gallies in the engine.

of course the car is going to stall if you just pop the PCV off - it needs the vacuum to keep it running. to prevent this, you can do one of two things -
1.) like mentioned above, immediately start funneling the seafoam into the engine. itll sputter a bit, but as long as you keep pouring, it should keep running.
2.) or, as soon as you pop it off, put your a finger (your thumb works best) over the tube until you are ready to start pouring/funneling. this will keep the car going.

you're supposed to change your oil after you do any kind of cleaning thing like that. all the crap that came out of the nooks and crannies went into the oil.

I've never read the back of Seafoam, but every other engine Internal Cleaner has stated "DO NOT DRIVE W/ PRODUCT IN ENGINE OIL."
It breaks down the viscocity of the oil, hence, you lose lubrication temporarily.. Maybe Seafoam is different..
Why else would you use it to CLEAN the sludge out of your engine?? Does it do this magically w/ out harming the rest of your engine oil (when added to your oil that is)??
Like I said though, maybe Seafoam is different..

George,
If you're looking at your IAC it's the line that's down and to the right. There's a hose that has a 90 angle (I think it's the PCV line) that you can seperate from the line that connects it to the air intake.
EDIT: watch out chop shop pros, I've got skillz! [sm=alcoholic.gif]
