Default Missing 3rd

I dont understand it, and its driving me fn crazy! I keep missing third when I am racing and only when I am racing. If I am driving around I never miss it, even when speed shifting no problem. But the second I race somebody I go to shift to third and it never goes in, it feels like I am getting it stuck between 1st and 3rd. I have a steeda tri-ax and it never gave this before, but for the last few months I have been having the worst luck with it. Any ideas why? It honestly reminds me of the stock shifter.

im convinced its the shifter....i have the EXACT same problem as you describe and i have a steeda triax. seems it doesnt wanna go into third if i get the revs over about 5 and i try to shift quickly...basically i have to shift to neutral for a second then push it into third when im haulin ***...freakin annoying.[:@]

Yes it is always when I am shifting for a race so I am up to about redline. No matter what it will NOT go into third, but if I shift fast as I can while driving around town its no problem. If its the shifter I will buy the other brand without thinking twice about it but I will try removing it and re-installing it as well as re-adjusting the stops. If all fails I will buy a different one cause it drives me crazy that my buddy thinking he won a race we just had cause I couldn't get the car in 3rd.

im pretty sure its the shifter...i dont know for sure thought, because i dont exactly speed around all the damn time so i cant test my theories and solutions...maybe at the track i can.
