i brought my full length steeda subframes to get welded in at my usual shop. I kept asking for how much it was gonna be before we started, and they kept saying theyd call me with the price before they started. I just got a call saying the car is done and it costs $210!!! is this the usual price? I mean now im stuck paying this without prior knowledge it wud run this much!!!!!! what the hell!

that is horrible business practice. tell them you never agreed to the price. they are in teh wrong, but it might be a pain to get your car back.

that was for just welding them in, shot I payed 40 and a 12pack of bud.

i went to go pick up the car and you guys will NEVER believe what just happened...im actually in shock still! I went down to the shop and the owner was telling me the crap they hadda do to get the subframes to fit etc. and then i was like, well theres only one problem....nobody ever informed me how much it would be before you started! i didnt act angry or anything i portrayed concerned lol. I was like what if i didnt have that much money or if i didnt want it done now? he replies "i thought my guys called you with the price before?" i told him the ONLY call i got was when the car was done and by then it was too late. He looks to his guys and asks for my keys and tells me "no problem dont worry about it" at this point im glad he knows hes done wrong and im still waititng to see wtf is gonna happen, im expecting a price reduction. Then he hands me my keys and tells me again "dont worry about it" so im standing there holding my keys still confused. He says "free of charge"... im shocked and im like thanks alot man ur a nice guy joe, lol he says "ppl always call me nice when they get free stuff" lol he didnt look too happy. But since this is my usual guy i tell him that it means alot that i kno he can be trusted and that he runs a fair business and that i should be back in a couple of weeks for some more work (on what idk). then i walked away and drove home in shock! subframes installed for free! =) JUSTICE IS SERVED lol
