Can't imagine the 2000 is that much different than a 96, in which case you need a spark plug socket, two 3" extensions (or one 6" and one 3"), and a rachet. Really isn't that difficult.

Pull the coil pack off of the # 1 cylinder spark plug then get a spark plug socket with an extention and pull it out and replace then do the same with the rest... i am not sure the coil pack on the spark plug just pulls off but i think it does i have a 96 as they use plug wires.

the 99+ are actually easier then our 4.6's. You need a 7mm to get the small black bolts out of the coil packs on the plugs. and an extension to get the plug out, well plus the spark plug socket. they are extremly easy and it might look likie you need to remove the fuel rail but you dont need to. they are rubber boots and they bend easy. I went with NGK iridum plugs. people use Motorcraft platniums, asw well as denso. but once you do it, you'll see how easy it actually is. Good luck
