cutting springs

Default cutting springs

if you buy lowering springs and u r dissatified with the drop can u do what foose does on overhaulin and cut them?

has anyone done this? how was the ride? how much did u remove?

There will be one coil on the end that the gap to the next coil is smaller than the rest...that's the dead coil.

Why would you do that? That's ghetto as hell. Buy some springs...if you can't afford it then save for used springs.

Not really.....ghetto is heating the springs to lower the car. That actually kills the spring rating and integrity of the springs. Cutting the dead coil can sometimes give you that nice in between of wanting it just a little lower and buying to low of springs and bottoming out everywhere.
