i need a 23 tooth speedo gear for when i get 4.10s put in, so im wondering where you sn95 owners got your speedo gear from. no you cant doit by tuner, you need the gear. yes i looked at ebay, rat bastards want 16$ shipped for one little plastic gear. let me know, thanks.

Ditch the gear and get a SpeedCal... It is more accurate than those cheap gears.

itll work with a 96 t45? i thought you had to change the speedo gear and couldnt reprogram it.

I've got one and will say that it is accurate... I was going to get a cheap speedo tooth gear until somebody told me that it was a better idea to get one.

Anyway why is it not possible to use a tuner to change for a gear swap? I know 99-04's can, but why not us?

the 99+ speedometer is all electronic and ours has a gear for the speedo. makes sense though, the newer ones have the digital readout and such.

yeah, guess it does, just always thought they said it would correct ours as well.

definately get the speedcal...the 23t speedo gear isn't even for 4.10's ...but 3.73 and they get chewed up quickly and are off at high speed. Speedcal is your only real option.

They are right! I had a 23 tooth speedo gear in my '98. 3 weeks after I installed the speedo gear, my speedo stopped working. When I took the speedo gear out, all the teeth were broken off.
