Dual stage rev limiter?

Will someone please tell me what the dual stage rev limiter does? I want to buy the sct hand held tuner and for $25 they will add it. Is it worth it?

when you floor the gas in neutral it will keep the engine at a certain rpm. this would be for launching.

personaly i think two steps are only worth it in boosted cars.... but for 25 bucks go for it....

Good for drag racing with good tires. If you are not going to the strip, and not running drag tires, don't bother. Anyway, it is part of the user adjustments in the XCal2, so it sounds kinda funny they'd charge you $25 for something you could do in about 2 minutes yourself.

I love mine. have 4 two step tunes

3500, 4000, 4500, and 5000. The sweet spot for my stang as is seems to be right inbetween 4000k and 4500....of course i dont have tunes for them.
4k will sometimes bog, and 4.5k likes to spin alittle. I still liked the 5k one though
