MR.gasket makes some nice ones, so does felpro. Most exhaust shops will be able to change them out.

how much do you think an exhaust shop would charge though?

if it's too much, i'll just do it myself. and i have a feeling if i call and ask for a quote, it wont' be anywhere near close. once they see this engine compartment, they'll think twice.

Hmm... they might want to look at it. I would imagine they wouldnt want anymore than 2 hours labor, whatever their labor rate happens to be.

I have long tube headers and there is a leak where the gaskets are. Im going to take it back to the guy who did it. But if I just decide to go to a shop that I can trust would they be able to easily slide in the new gaskets or do they have to take the headers out and have a big hassle like that?

and are these good gaskets? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

shouldn't have to take them out. especially if BOLTS were used to replace the studs. if studs were used, it complicates things a little more since they're harder to remove without damaging them. the bolts are easy, and you should get enough play to sneak a gasket in there carefully.

even if you had to do it yourself, it really isn't that bad. i just dont feel like pretending i'm a contortionist again.
