Default shopping for gears

where's a good (cheaper the better) place to shop for new gears? (3.73, 3.90, 4.10, etc)

Looks like they are selling Motive gears. I am also looking for gears and am totally undeceided with the controversy over Motives being goor or bad!
I would get the www.RPMoutlet.com tuner/gearset w/install kit for $449. if only I was somewhat sure about the gearset!!! There does not seem to be definitive info out there on these gears. Mark

there should be a delete button on the post if you are logged in.

i agree though...the kit on www.rpmoutlet.com seems like a good deal. thats what i was gonna get eventually.

Edit: nevermind lol...i dont see a delete button on mine...soooo...i guess we will all just have to deal with it being posted 3 times. for future reference...only push the button once...even if it takes a minute [8D]

Motive gears are fine.

Some mechanics claim they are a bit harder to setup, but any mechanic with experience shouldn't have any problems with them.

FRPP's seem to install the easiest when you ask mechanics familiar with Ford Ring & Pinion swaps.

I had Motive 4.30's in my 02 GT and they are fine.

Great news Dan. I was looking for someone who knew what they were talking about whether the motives were really as bad as some have said. I they were that bad it seemed that they could not stay in production! That deal from RPM is awesome as I am only doing a few simple bolt ons and the tuner and gears would be a couple along with exhaust work. mark
PS: thinking of Pypes x-pipe with cats but not sure about catbacks as I am 53 and do not want a loud ride. Thanks again!
