I'm not exactly sure what is, but there was a thread on it a while back and code3gt said something about the windsor was better. Ask him.

i have a 01, how would i know if it has the better tranny?

and the 01+ look way better than the 99/00

The 00 block is better because it is stronger. If you don't plan on supercharing it then an 01 is the better way to go. For SC, it is recommended for the 00 because the block is stronger and can withstand more power. Unless you are talking about crazy mods then it doesn't matter either way because you will probably go with a built block.

The center console was changed on the 01+. The cupholders are no longer retarded. The defroster for the 00 is on the left side of the dash while it is behind the shif **** on the 01+. There is a mustang symbol above the rearview mirror on the 01+.
