really? how do you set that up? Over the port that goes from the IAC to the intake tube?
i just stuffed the cap in the hose going to the iac, fits perfect. no chance of it being sucked in either, it wont fit through the iac. sure beats 8$ for that ebay crock.
how big of a hole you drilled?

for the copper cap i did 5/16ths, but the brass fitting i got in there now is smaller. what id do is pick up 3 caps, and make 3 different sizes and see which works best. if you go too small you wont idle right, 5/16ths is a safe bet. mine idled fine with that.

To get to the original "hang up". OUr cars are designed to not immediately drop back to normal idle. This may be part of what you are experiencing. Mine hangs around 1100 or so for a few seconds...I've been told by numerous people its normal.

its normal for a little hang, due to emmisions, but when you do a tb and plenum or other intake mods youll get a really bad hang. sometimes the restricter will fix it, but usually you have to change a few settings in the tune.

I have a copper end cap in my IAC valve pipe with the whole drilled I beleive 1/4" it helped a bit. But it still does it. I had my car dyno tuned with my sct tuner. I asked the tuner about it and he tryed to find out what was causing it but he couldnt figure it out. He just lowered the idle to 650rpm that helped a little bit. It really sucks alot though, it hangs for a while. I will take some video shots and post them.

did this happen imediatly installing the t/b and plenum? i'd check anyway to see if there is a gasket between the two hanging up the butterfly valve. bad t/b maybe? i almost returned my bbk because my rpms wouldn't come down at all. there website said it can take up to 250 miles of driving! i installed the diablo tune...now i idle at 750ish...however it does hang at around 900 for a second when i stop but that's because of the tune i selected...more power! try to borrow someone's tuner to rule out a bad tuner.

I have always had the problem with my rpms hanging. Even in stock form. But I did notice after putting the TB on it got worse.

I had the same problem. It was a small hole in one of the vacuum lines.
