HELP.... RPM's hanging
I have asked this question a few times... I have a problem with my RPM's hanging. For instance, I will be driving around town, and when I have to come to a stop at a stop light or something. I put the clutch in, my rpms drop to about 1800rpm, hang there for about 5 seconds then drop to 1100rpm and then after a few more seconds drop to 750rpm. I have noticed that if I drive harder and higher in the rpms, when I come to a stop it, the RPMs hang longer. So I thought it might have something to do with crankcase pressure. I can't seem to fix it. I have replaced the PCV valve, TPS, IAC valve, EGR Valve and none of those have fixed it. Please give me some suggestions, anything clues will help. Some how air must be still getting into the intake manifold even after the throttle blade is closed. The only thing I can think of, is I think there is a solinoid that controls the EGR valve. Please help me correct this! Thanks....

really? so I may have to pick one of those up. When I gun it in our carbureted impala, the rpms drop right away when I let off, and they hang in my stang when I gun it
cool

RE: HELP.... RPM's hanging
with my vortech kit there was this brass fitting i had no idea what to do with, it was a reducer type of fitting. so instead of my copper iac restricter i put the brass fitting in and it does the same thing. drops the rpms down much faster. i gotta tell you though, for the most part, if you touch anything intake related on these cars your bound to get idle hang. it could be ten million things, but for the most part its tune related. some people get away with reseting the batery and the problem is solved, but the idle hang will get everyone at least once in their life. the restrictor plate is an awesome thing to have though, helps out a lot.

really? how do you set that up? Over the port that goes from the IAC to the intake tube?
