twin screw whines, centris whistle. centris get their best power at higher rpms. for 3500 you could get a vortech no aftercooled strim, or for 4 grand you could get a saleen series 2 intercooled twin screw.

I know that all s/c kits make alot of power but with centrifical making more power up top and twin screw making it at lower rpms then i should go centrifical if i dont wanna spend butt loads on getting the car to launch?? not to say i wont spend any, just dont wanna completly redue everything.

The centrifugal style s/c, is basicaly a belt driven turbo, it NEEDS to spin up in order to create boost. Where as the twin-screw style makes boost pretty much all the time. Id say go with the twin screw, itll sound better and all you have to do is change pullies to get more boost, and itll boost more consistantly throughout the whole rpm range rather than more at higher RPM's.

i like having a centri but would love to drive a kb car. it is nice to not have it sometimes, like in the rain and stuff (which isnt often here in teh desert) and it is not like a lightswitch, it builds teh long you hold the load pedal down. there is a kb on ebay as we speak, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kenne...spagenameZWDVW

Centri would be better for daily driving. Just cause under 3000 rpms the driveablity is pretty much stock with a little whistle.

As long as you are on the throttle about halfway or less, then the twin screw would be fine. I've rode in a KB Cobra, and under partial throttle there wasn't any boost, but once you hammered it, there was instant boost. It can be just as good as a centrifical driving daily.

Unless you plan on forging the motor or putting another one in... I dont think the twin screw is worth the extra 2.5k. The centri will probably make slightly higher peak power... twin screw more torque downlow. I'd say centri without a doubt. I've never driven a T/S only ridden in one... driven a centri and theres like 0 boost under 2300 rpms. Hence in my mind better daily driver.

Centrifugal Prochargers with 2 or 3-core intercooler for about $3300 or so.

Procharger includes theres where you have to pay extra for one from vortech. All in your choice though!
