how many miles on it? I've seen so many fords come into my dealer for fuel pumps with less than 70k on them

Yes it's under the cap, it works just like a valve stem on a tire, get a pen and release the pressure, I can't hear my pump also but I know mine is good.

It should be, well on mine it's on the passanger side in the front of the fuel rale, just take the cap off and release the pressure, then turn the key on and check the presssure again.

all you need is air fuel and spark, DON'T PUMP THE GAS.

haha yeah i know, i bought it brand new in 97, it was my daily driver til about 2001, til i bought a f-350 and ive just been workin ever since, don't really have time for it as much as i used to, my g/f recently just broke up with me so i gotta get it goin i remember how easy it was to pick up chicks in it. woooooo hoooooo. but on a more important note, if somebody has detailed instructions on how to change this fuel pump it would help me out alot.
