To people who really know stuff about there car...
Sorry if this is off topic, i just figured i would ask the people in here that seem to know the most about our cars...
How did you guys get knowledgeable about your car? Did you watch people or did some one tell you?
Also if anyone happens to be a mechanic, how hard was it in school to learn?

i started off in a pit crew for gm modified then worked on my own cars in the pit crew i learned alot but when you dont have all the money or the tools you learn to work with what you got

I went to Wyotech and now work at a GM dealership (yea, I know, I know, but they pay more than Ford, and I like all the wired looks I get when I roll up in my stang! lol)

Read, read, read. Before I got my car I never did more than change the oil in my other cars. So far i've changed the brakes, clutch, entire front suspension, installed a new intake manifold, dropped the kember for long tube installation, etc etc.. I just figure it out.

I spend alot of time reading how how stuff works.com.. and my dad taught me the rest, then I worked for Ford for a while, and hands on experiance with my cars.

talking to and working with my uncle. reading books and howstuffworks.com is how i figured out how an engine works. and reading up on websites like these and the haynes manual taught me how to install/fix stuff
