Default Tinted tails

Ok i went the cheaper route which isnt always better. Dont get me wrong the tails look amazing and a couple posts down when i get a chance i will post pics, the problem i have is i used rc car tinted window paint. Thats what it is called NO LIE, and well i can tell its not gonna stand up to the weather. Do you think i should throw a coat of clear overtop of it or will that do no good? Oooo and to anyone else who uses an idea like this it will cost you 13 bucks but DONT use brake cleaner on rear tails it kinda screws up the tails. (I didnt have alcohol at the time and it started to rain so i quick got it off and ran home in my garage cleaned it with alcohol but their is a tiny noticable haze on the tails, but with the new paint on you have no idea its there)

SO question is, Clearcoat help or not?

Default RE: Tinted tails

I would just put regular tint on there. It sounds like you screwed them up already. Here is what I would do. I would clean them up then take a scotch bright pad to scuff up the glass a little. Not to where you cant see in there. Just lightly scuff them up. Then take your clear and spray over the lights. You lights will be shiny as crap and will look 10X better than new. Thats an old trick on doing your headlights that way too. Just buy the tint or do like i did and got these.
