so i know this is a dumb question but i have two pics of stangs and i was wondering about the wheels and hood because they are different and I wasn't sure if it was because of the year or a certain package on the car. thanks for the help!

I believe the top one is a v6 and the other is a v8

the black one looks like a V6 but im not sure. and the red one is a GT

red is a 2004

oh ok thanks so much - i knew there had to be something

but that's wierd because i test drove an 04 the other day and it had the hood of the red one and the wheels of the black one

first one is a 99-01 GT or and the second is a 02-04 GT, they changed wheels and scoops then

The hood on that one is usually a 99 body - 2000 sometimes

+1 here... I'd just say that they made the change mid-01.

Also, fordfan, when are you going to the thunderbird again? I kind of feel like racing

Edit: The one you posted a pic of is mid 01-03... in 04 they had the bullitt wheels. The red one was an 04.

EDIT AGAIN!: I need to get my crap straight The bullitt wheels in mid-01 to 03 were an option, and came standard on the 04's.
