Yeah.. Ive thought about s/c it before but i had about 90,000 miles on my motor when I put the Nos on. I didnt really want to invest 4000 into a s/c that wasnt gonna fit the stroker motor that is going in next after this motor goes.. I figured with a s/c at 90k wouldnt last very long..

hey blck98GT.. you ever thinking about s/c your car? cuz i would run a 100 shot but i dont know if its worth spending the money because by next summer i plan on getting a s/c...

so do you just plan on getting a new engine then s/c that thing?

and when you say it won't fit the stroker, what exactly does that mean?

Looking at changing the gears in my 02 GT. I've been told that 4:10's really screw up your fuel economy and 5th gear will run like 3,000 RPM at 70MPH?Thanks!
Who ever told that is a complete dumb ***. The differance between a 3.73 and a 4.10 in 5th gear will be about 200 rpm. Your gas mpg will not suffer very much and many people who actually OWN 4.10's report better milage in town. Remember that most people here telling you to go with 3.73's have never had 4.10's and there for cannot give you a good comparison.

please do not listen to those knuckle heads. I have had 3.73's and wish I went with 4.10's. 3.73s are alright buttt not enough at all. For the guy who said that nitrous numbers arent normally what they advertise, your wrong look around at tests most of the time it will produce that much maybe slightly more. This is not all the time but look around at tests you'll see. Also for the guy who said you would need major engine work for the 100 shot of nitrous, your wrong. A stock GT will be absolutely fine with a 100 shot of nitrous ask code he'll tell you. Getting back to the original question, 4.10s will help your mileage out a little bit around the city believe it or not, but depending on how you drive on the highway it may hurt you a little bit, and dont listen to the guy who said you can go over 110-120 because he is also wrong. your top speed wont change much at all. Dont waste the money on 3.73s like most people including myself, go with 4.10s

Yeah..

well.. like you cant put a s/c for a chevy motor on a ford motor.. you cant put a s/c from a cobra on a gt.. so i didnt want to buy a s/c for a 4.6 that wouldnt fit on a 5.8

if you read what I wrote I said 4.10s wouldnt change your top speed much, because like jd said there is only about a 200rpm difference between the gears, thank you
