Im expecting those two to help out a lot because even with the 14.1 time I still had problems with the second to third shift. I cant wait to get the short throw in!
Well, why ya asking us for opinions when you already know the problem!

My question was does a tank of gas slow you down that much or is it better to run closer to "E". That was the question and had nothing to do with my mods, and I wasnt being rude so why all the attitude?

im not a detective or anything, but i think that smiley face meant that he wasn't trying to say it in a mean way, but more of a nice/joking way... i think you got a little too offended on that one... also, u should be running lower than 14.1 ... so i think that maybe that switching from 2nd to 3rd maybe screwed you up a little, get the short shift kit and timing adjuster, go with 1/4 tank of gas, see what happens, and let us all know, id like to see what the deal is my self

Don't be so jumpy dude. I was just throwing a joke at you. [&:]

GT99 summed it up for me, you just mentioned your shift from 2nd-3rd is not up to par, that time you spend moving the shifter 20 feet from 2nd to 3rd kills your ET much more than you'd ever imagine. Get that fixed, take a look at some drag radials and seriously consider dumping those Flowmasters for a straight through muffler or some cut-outs if you are looking for the most bang for your buck performance at the 1/4 mile.

I forgot to mention your tracks elevation. Find that out and correct your ET if needed.

Be the official MustangForums test dummy for Flowmaster VS Straight mufflers.

Myself, having gone from Magnaflows to Flowmasters, my car has far less top-end now with Flows. [&:]

Ok, guess I can do that. What mufflers do you guess suggest from Magnaflow? I heard of a few different types. Why did you go from magnaflows to Flows?

I had to because of trouble with the police & registry.

Aside from Magnaflow, their is Bassani, Dynomax & SLP.

Bassani is beyond f'ing expensive, SLP 'resonators' are smaller than Magnaflow mufflers and are alittle louder. I personally haven't heard a Dynomax system, but they are right on par with Magnaflow/Bassani in performance.
