Default What would it take?

Hi all, I am sorry if this question has been asked before but I didnt even know what to search to try to find it.

What would it take to make a 96-98 Mustang GT as fast as a 99-04 Mustang GT? I know the question prolly just seems stupid, but I was thinkin of pickin up a 96-98 GT because around here I can pick one up cheap, but I want to be able to compete with the 99-04 GTs. Anyone know what differences there are between the 2 engines(I know the 98 has more hp/tq then the 96-97 too)?

Thanks in advance!

-Josh

PI head swap is all you need and you will be running as fast if not faster than 99+ GT's. 98 gained 10 horsepower from 96-97 I think thats the only difference between the the years. If you wanted to keep up with one by buying bolt ons your gonna need alot of stuff.
