I tried 89

I tried 89
Well last week I tried 89 octane in the 'stang. Shortly after I put it in I posted about a flat spot occuring everyonce and awhile, like the car is pulling timing. I decided to keep an eye and a ear out for anything unusal.
Put in another tank.
Nope, sorry she don't like it. The car just seems funny, runs funny, just yuk! I know that I should be able to run it with no issues, but I don't know, the car is doing something and it doesn't seem to be good. I can't hear any pinging but then again I can't hear much with my exhaust.
I put 93 in last tank yesterday and all the wierd flat spots have gone away, it runs different (better), and eveything.
1 bad tank I can understand 2 bad tanks in a row I can't. She likes the 91+ stuff so I don't plan on putting in 89 anymore.
I just find it strange the way it is/was reacting to the gas.

Pretty much, just an x-pipe, catback, and scilencer removed with a high performance filter. Nothing else.

I get nasty pinging when I run 87.
